Professor Jonghwa Lee

Professor Jong Hwa Lee has been the key figure in the National Coalition on the Divided Families in terms of setting policy, lobbying, overseeing the technical and literary aspects of all the Coalition's literature including the Coalition's website.
Dr. Lee is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at Hawaii Pacific University, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in intercultural and international communication. He is a scholar of international/intercultural communication, critical/cultural studies, and contemporary rhetorical theory, with research interests in tourism and globalization, space and memory, and the rhetoric of human rights and human wrongs. Currently, he is working on the issues of historical justice and memory in North-East Asia including the problem of Japanese Military Sexual Slavery.
